Where clinical reality meets technology strategy

I've spent a decade at the intersection of clinical nursing and health IT — helping organizations navigate EHR downtime, AI adoption, and the informatics challenges that matter most to patient safety.

About

Clinical first. Research grounded.

I'm a Principal Nursing Informatics Specialist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where I've spent ten years bridging clinical reality and technology strategy. I'm also a doctoral student at Vanderbilt School of Nursing, where my research focuses on what happens cognitively to nurses when EHR systems fail — and what health systems can do to prepare. My background is clinical before it's anything else. CVICU, ambulatory care, a decade watching nurses adapt to systems not always built with them in mind. That perspective shapes everything I do.MSN · RN · NI-BC · Epic Certified · Doctoral Student, Vanderbilt University

Service 01

EHR Downtime Preparedness

Most health systems have a downtime policy. Far fewer have a plan that holds up when the pressure is real — when nurses are reverting to paper, workflows are breaking down, and the people who need information most cannot access it. We help hospitals close that gap through SAFER guideline assessments, human factors review of analog workflows, Epic BCA optimization, and facilitated tabletop exercises.

Service 02

AI Readiness and Implementation

Every health system is being sold an AI tool right now. The harder question is not whether to adopt them, but whether your nursing teams are ready for what comes next. Poor implementation adds cognitive burden to already stretched clinical staff and leaves organizations with expensive tools nobody trusts. We help health systems evaluate AI tools through a clinical and human factors lens and build the frameworks that determine whether frontline nurses actually use what you invested in.

Service 03

Nursing Informatics Advisory

Nursing informatics is one of the most underleveraged resources in healthcare. We work with nursing leaders and health systems on workflow optimization, EHR education, data analytics literacy, and shared governance. For community and critical access hospitals without dedicated informatics staff, we offer fractional advisory support — experienced expertise without the cost of a full-time hire.
